Dream Valley DT Post - Feeling Blue

Good morning,

A scheduled post from me today because I'm back at work after my few days off.  As usual it didn't feel nearly long enough.  I wasn't feeling 100% with a really sore throat for the last few days so we didn't get up to very much but it was just nice to chill for a while in between housework oh and I did get a good chunk of my Christmas shopping done already so that can't be bad!

Ok, onto the challenge and this weeks theme at Dream Valley Challenges is feeling blue and we are sponsored by Sherri Baldy.

I've chosen a digi called Lil Lovely Hearts & Roses and coloured it with Promarkers

To fit our blue theme I've made a patchwork background using Burleigh Blue Capsule Collection papers and a sizzix die.  I've finished my card simply with a rub-on sentiment from Kaisercraft and a twine topped button.

Thank you for stopping by, be sure and check out our challenge.

Hugs, Shona x

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - Time

Good morning!

I'm on time yay!  I'm on holiday for the rest of the week double yay!  Before I share my I ♥ ProMarkers DT card with you I'd like to share a photo of myself in traditional Highland dress!

Haha this was taken at the photo booth they had set up at the Inverness Street Festival last week!  I know I'm small but this is just crazy!

Ok, now I've given you a laugh at my expense, on to the challenge...  This week our theme is TIME and we would love you to join us, we are sponsored by Bunny Zoe

This challenge we were able to use stamps of our choice to fit the theme.  I used a Papermania Chronology background stamp to stamp my own backing paper.  This was my first attempt at creating my own background!  I teamed this with one of the new Gorjuss stamps called The Hatter which I coloured with Promarkers.

I've kept the layout quite simple and added a sentiment from the LOTV Pretty Grungy Relations set straight onto the backing paper.  I've also added some washi tape and a button topped with a twine bow.  It's a bit more grungy than my usual makes but I quite like how it's turned out and I know just the girl to give it to!

That's all from me at the moment, not quite sure what we'll get up to today yet...

Hugs,
Shona xx

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

Good Morning

Yay it's Wednesday and as I'm typing this (scheduled) post I'm hoping that I will be feeling a bit better by the time this goes live as I have an awful sore throat and feel a cold is creeping up on me!

In happier news it's also the start of a new challenge over at  I ♥ ProMarkers - our theme this week is everyone's favourite 'Anything goes' just remember you need to use Promarkers, Flexmarkers, etc on your entry!  Our sponsor this week is the fab Dr Digi!

I have used one of their fab digi's 'Slam Dunk Duncan' for my DT Card, as always it's been coloured with Promarkers.

The papers are from Curiosity Corner by Trimcraft and I've cut the stars using an X-cut set.  The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and I've used Sizzix dies to cut the letters for 'Son'.

That's all from me just now, thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Shona xx

Dream Valley DT Card - Halloween

Hello again,

I'm back to share my DT card for the current challenge at Dream Valley Challenges.  Our theme this time is 'Halloween' and we are sponsored by Imagine That.

For my DT card I used a freebie image that I downloaded quite a few years back from Dearie Dolls, I'm not sure that they are still on the go.  It's been coloured with Promarkers.

I've die cut a city scape using a Tim Holtz die then backed the 'windows' with some coloured cardstock.  I've backed everything with some uber glittery purple card (the photo really doesn't do it justice) and added a moon.  I've finished off my card with some black foam scrapbooking letters to say Boo!

Thanks for dropping by,
Shona xx

Cutie Pies DT Card - Pretty in Pink!

Good evening,

Tonight I'm sharing with you my DT card for the current Cutie Pie Challenge our theme this time is Pretty in Pink and as always we are looking for a cute image on your card or project as well!  Our sponsors are Crafty Sentiments and Bunny Zoe who have some fab prizes for our winners.

I've used a Crafty Sentiments digi on my card and gone for a Christmas theme.  I've coloured in the image with Promarkers.

I've fussy cut the image and layered it onto a die cut circle which is sitting on another circle I embossed onto kraft card using an X-cut embossing folder which again, I then fussy cut around.  I think the paper is from a Boofle pack.  I've added a LOTV sentiment, felt snowflakes and some checked ribbon and a matching bow.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Shona xx

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Post - Anything But a Card

Hello,

Sorry I was too late on the go last night to schedule my post for this morning - I only finished my tag and got it on the challenge blog around 1am :(  Work is still a bit mad and I'm still on my own, that's almost 6 weeks now.  There is light at the end of the tunnel though, just as well as I'm coming home drained every evening and as usual crafting is the first thing that suffers.  Unfortunately it's not as essential as looking after my family and sleeping (please note I don't really count housework as an essential apart from keeping up with the washing and keeping the bathroom and kitchen clean, the hoovering and dusting and ironing can wait!!!)

So back to my tag... Our theme this week at  I ♥ ProMarkers is 'Anything But A Card' and we are sponsored by the fab

As time was against me I decided to make a tag for the challenge rather than anything more complex.  I love making tags as I find working with a small blank space to fill easier than a large one (note to self maybe give ATC's a go!).  I decided on a Christmas theme and then had a rummage through my rubber stamps to find a suitable image that would fit on the tag.  In the end I picked Poinsettia Girl by Sugar Nellie and coloured her with Promarkers.

The coloured tag is by Papermania and I used an X-cut die to make snowflakes out of newsprint paper from Stampin' Up for the background, adding some little buttons to the snowflakes.  The '25' stamp is by Paula Pasqual and the sentiment stamp is from a Lucy Cromwell set that was a magazine freebie, both were stamped on kraft card and I used an X-cut mini die to cut the label shape.  I've added some gingham star trim from Hobbycraft, ribbons and a charm to finish my tag.

Thanks for stopping by and I will try to catch up with all your blogs in the near future.

Shona xx

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenge:
